Jim Larwood

Jim has spent over 25 years in various technical and leadership roles at Fortune 500 aerospace companies, he currently sits on two Boards, SYSCOM and Duke Manufacturing where he provides useful insight and guidance to each company’s entire team. His expertise spans Enterprise Leadership, Operational Excellence, Manufacturing Automation, Scalable Process Discipline, Strategic Planning, Business Development, Technology Integration, Goal Deployment and Program Management.

Originally from New York, Jim began his career with Northrop/Grumman (formerly Grumman Aerospace) in Bethpage, NY as a non-metallic engineer and earned several promotions ultimately allowing him to gain early and meaningful broad managerial exposure. Jim held several key positions at Kaman Aerospace including President of the Precision Products Subsidiary and President of Aerosystems Group.

Jim earned his Master of Science, Electrical Engineering, from Stony Brook University and his MBA, from Long Island University. He is an avid automobile restorer and collector and a commercial real estate developer and loves challenging projects. His interests include woodworking, gardening, reading and building anything. Both he and his wife Jennifer live in Simsbury, CT and Chatham MA and have three children.
